Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Thanksgiving is right around the corner so this is the perfect opportunity to whip up a pumpkin pie to bring to gatherings with friends and family. Recipe


Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 premade 9-inch deep dish pie shell
 
Instructions
 
  • Mix together the sugar, ground cinnamon, salt, ground ginger, and ground cloves in a small bowl

  • Beat eggs in a separate large mixing bowl

  • Add pumpkin puree to the mixing bowl with the eggs

  • Add the sugar and spice mixture to the bowl with the eggs and pumpkin puree

  • Mix the mixture until it is well combined

  • Slowly add in the evaporated milk making sure to mix well, the mixture should be thin and light orange.

  • Pour the mixture into the pie shell and place in the oven

  • Cook the pie at 425 for 15 minutes and then lower the heat to 350 and bake the pie for 30-40 minutes.
 
  • Let it cool for 2 hours before serving it or putting it into the fridge. Enjoy!
