Softball Skills Clinic with Ball State Athletes - Ages 7-10

Softball Skills Clinic with Maia Pietrzak

Top Tier, in partnership with Yorktown JAA, is bringing a Division I college athlete to Muncie for a morning of all-around skill development. Maia Pietrzak, a senior shortstop for Ball State University, will lead two sessions designed to build complete softball players, from fundamentals to game-ready decision making.

This clinic is built around all-around skill development, so every athlete gets work in hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, and softball IQ. With a maximum of 45 girls per session, each player gets real reps and hands-on coaching, not just drills in a crowd. Whether your daughter is just starting out or already plays competitively, she will leave with new skills and the confidence to use them.

When: Saturday, November 7, 9:00 AM — 12:00 PM (All ages)
Who: Girls ages 7-10 and 11-14, all skill levels
Location: Yorktown JAA, 200S S 600 W, Muncie, IN 47304

Athletes will walk away with:

• All-around skill development across hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running

• Position-specific fundamentals and defensive technique

• Live game situations with real-time coaching

• Individual feedback on strengths and areas to grow

• A Q&A on college softball and the Division I experience

• Autographs and photos with Maia

With a maximum of 45 girls per session, every athlete gets meaningful reps and direct attention from a Division I player.

About Maia Pietrzak

My name is Maia Pietrzak and I am a senior short stop at Ball State University. Throughout my three years playing here, I have had the honor of earning First Team All MAC and All MAC tournament team accolades. Beyond playing for ball state, I have a passion for sharing my love of the game with the next generation of softball players. I have been giving lessons and running camps for young athletes for the past 4 years back home in the Chicagoland area, and I am so excited to continue to share my knowledge, connect with athletes, and help them grow their game!

Maia Pietrzak is a senior infielder and shortstop for Ball State University softball. A First Team All-MAC selection in 2025, she has been one of the Cardinals' most consistent hitters and a top base-running threat throughout her career. As a sophomore she started all 51 games, batted .376, and led the MAC while ranking 35th nationally with 60 runs scored. As a junior she hit .341 with 33 runs, 17 RBI, and 11 stolen bases in 12 attempts before a season-ending injury cut her year short. Over her career she has played in 95 games with 70 starts, scored nine game-winning runs, and driven in seven game-winning RBI.

A Chicago native and Marist High School graduate, Maia helped lead the Redhawks to Illinois Class 4A state championships her sophomore and senior seasons, earning Third Team All-State honors as a senior after hitting .427 with 45 RBI and 53 runs scored. She also coaches hitting and fielding lessons at D-BAT Hickory, so she knows exactly how to break skills down for young players. Maia brings a Division I shortstop's eye for detail to every session.
