Vault + Beam Clinic with MSU's MaKayla Tucker
About this event
Overview
Top Tier NIL, in partnership with Capital City Flips, is bringing Michigan State gymnast MaKayla Tucker to Lansing for a two-session skills clinic built for compulsory and Xcel Silver and Gold gymnasts. Tucker is a senior all-arounder for the Spartans and one of the most consistent competitors in the Big Ten, posting career highs of 9.950 on vault, 9.950 on floor, 9.900 on bars, 9.900 on beam, and 39.625 in the all-around.
The clinic runs across two Sundays, with each session focused on a different pair of events. Day One covers vault and beam. Day Two covers floor and bars. Splitting the clinic this way gives every gymnast two hours of concentrated, event-specific coaching instead of a rushed pass through all four apparatus, and lets Tucker go deep on the details that separate a clean routine from a scored one.
Athletes will train the way a Division I gymnast trains: quality repetitions, immediate corrections, and coaching that meets each gymnast at her current level. Whether a gymnast is building her first competitive skills at the compulsory level or refining a routine for Xcel Silver or Gold, the goal is the same, cleaner execution and more confidence on meet day.
This is a hands-on session with limited space, so each gymnast gets real reps and real feedback rather than watching from the sidelines.

Coach Bio
MaKayla Tucker, Michigan State University Women’s Gymnastics, Senior (All-Around)
MaKayla Tucker is a senior all-arounder for the Michigan State Spartans, competing in all four events for one of the top programs in the Big Ten. A kinesiology major from Fishers, Indiana, she has built her career on consistency and intentional, deliberate work in every rotation.
Career highs: 9.950 on vault (at the NCAA Tempe Regional, 2026), 9.950 on floor (vs. Ohio State, 2026), 9.900 on bars and 9.900 on beam (both six times, most recently at Auburn, 2026), and 39.625 in the all-around (at Auburn, 2026).
Highlights of her college career include Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2024, Academic All-Big Ten recognition in 2025, and two Big Ten Freshman of the Week awards during her freshman season. She helped Michigan State to back-to-back Big Ten regular season titles and competed on vault, bars, and floor at the 2025 NCAA Championships. She finished second in the all-around at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad, a meet that featured several of the nation’s top programs.
Before East Lansing, Tucker trained at DeVeau’s Gymnastics Club under Don and Kim Gibson and Tom Strange. She placed sixth on vault, fifth on bars, seventh on beam, eighth on floor, and sixth in the all-around at the 2022 Women’s Development Program National Championships. She won beam, floor, and all-around titles at the 2022 Indiana Level 10 State Meet, was a 2021 Women’s Development Program National Championships qualifier, and was a member of the 2022 Region 5 All-Star Team.
Tucker is known for a relaxed, steady presence that keeps a gym loose and focused at the same time, and she brings that same energy to every session.
